NEW YORK(SMI-WIRE,10.04.16)The Mom's Melissa Gerstein hosted another memorable Mamarazzi event with a special private screening of Middle School:"The Worst Days of My Life" , Q&A with leading actress Lauren Graham, and casting Alexa Nisenson & Griffin Gluck during Tuesday's noon time @ Tribeca Screening Room in NYC.
"Middle School:The Worst Days of My Life " screening is about Rafe Khatchadorian played by (Griffin Gluck) has an epic imagination and a slight problem with authority.Both collide when he transfers to a middle school where students are expected to follow the rules. This doesn't sit well with Rafe at all. With help from his new friend Leo (Thomas Barbusca), the mischievous lad concocts schemes to drive his tyrannical principal (Andy Daly) crazy, while also using his
charm and wits to impress a girl (Isabela Moner) and battle the bullies.
ABOUT LAUREN GRAHAM:
Lauren Graham was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Donna Grant and Lawrence Graham, a candy industry lobbyist. Her father was from New York and her mother was from the American South, and Lauren has Irish, English, and Scottish ancestry. She grew up in Northern Virginia, USA (Fairfax, Arlington, and Great Falls, VA) Graduate of Langley High School, McLean, VA Graduate of Barnard College/Columbia University with a Bachelor's Degree in English. Graduate of Southern Methodist University with a Master's Degree in Acting. She was raised by a single parent, her father. Her parents divorced when she was 5. Growing up she wanted to be a jockey but her height precluded it. She traveled extensively with her father during her childhood and discovered acting while in elementary school. Her resume includes theatre, film and television.
About Griffin Gluck:
Griffin Gluck may only be going into ninth grade, but he has already acquired an impressive collection of credits, such as feature films "Just Go With It" and "Trust Me" and TV series "Back In The Game," "Private Practice," "The Office" and "United States of Tara." A clip of his recent guest-star appearance on cable's "Silicon Valley" went viral.
Gluck got the acting bug when he went to a summer children's showcase of "Guys and Dolls" at the Palisades Playhouse. Since then, he has appeared in several TV commercials for the Japanese and American markets, including Verizon's "Lemonade Stand" and a national campaign for Eggo. In 2008, he appeared in the Japanese remake of the film "Sideways," directed by his father.
ABOUT ALEXA NISENSON:
At only 10 years old, Alexa Nisenson has already landed two studio films, and she isn't slowing down anytime soon. In 2016, she can be seen making her feature film debut co-starring as Georgia in "Middle School: The Worst Years of my Life" for CBSFilms/Lionsgate. Based off the critically-acclaimed book by James Patterson, the film follows a quiet middle school student who has a wild imagination and is sick of school rules. Alexa shines as his spunky and mischievous younger sister. "Middle School" is slated to premiere nationwide on October 7.
