PISCATAWAY NJ (SMI-GLOBAL-SPORTS-UNIVERSITY-03.10-12, 2025)-The Rutgers Women's diving team closed-out the NCAA Div I Diving Zone A Qualifiers securing 10-punched tickets for the 2025 NCAA Diving & Swimming championship after 3-day competition @ Rutgers University.
Over 150+ diving athletes ( Women & Men) from 40+ Universities competed during 3-days for 18, NCAA qualifiers spots with the Women fighting for 6 in the 3-Meter, 7 in the 1-Meter, & 5 in the platform competition to make the cut for the 2025 NCAA Swimming & Diving championship to be held on Mar 19-22, @ Washington State University.
In day one of the Women's final 3-meter diving competition, 4-Divers from Rutgers' University obtained 4-qualifier spots out 6, and made the cut for the 2025 NCAA championship led by Katherina Hoffman(Rutgers) who won the competition finishing frst scoring 714.85 after six dives. Team-mates Sephora Ford (Rutgers) took 3rd place (640.05), Bailee Sturgill (Rutgers) fourth place (627.40) and Holly Prasanto ( Rutgers) grabbed the final spot for 6th place finish scoring 626.05.
Elizabeth Kaye from University of Virginia finished Runner-up(2nd Place) with the score of 674.25, while Ivy League diving champion Princeton's Charlotte Martinkus took 5th place with the score of 620.80 for both acquiring the other two qualifier spots and complete the 6, overall of the 3-meter competition.
In day 2, Elizabeth Kaye from the University of Virginia won the 1-Meter final scoring 602.90, and obtaining her second qualifier of the tournament after finishing 2nd in the 3-Meter final championship out 18, competitor divers.
The Scarlet Knights kept its dominance in the 1-Meter competition as well
punching three-more Tickets to the NCAA Swimming & Diving championship
led by Holly Prasanto( Rutgers) who scored 602.40 for 2nd place, Bailee Sturgill (Rutgers) registered 583.70 for 3rd place, and Katerina Hoffman finishing in fourth place with 582.00 for her second NCAA qualifier spot for the Diving & Swimming Championship.
Yale and Harvard from the Ivy League Conference grabbed the final 3-spots with The Bull Dogs winning 2-Qualifier tickets led by Lily Horenkamp(Yale, 5th place) scoring 571.30, and Gloria Lai(Yale) punched hers with a 7th place scoring 561.70, while Harvard's Nina Janmyr won a qualifier with a 6th place finish scoring 571.25 in the competition.
In Day three Rutgers highlighted the NCAA Zone A championship adding three more NCAA qualifier Bids in the Platform competition led by Bailee Sturgill (Rutgers) who won the Platform finals scoring 570.30, for her third qualifier bid (3-M, 1-M, & Platform).Team-mates Sephora Ford punched her 2nd ticket for the championship finishing runner-up with 565.20, while Katherine Hoffman won her 3rd Qualifier Ticket for 6th place with a 491.05 score.
Mariana Osorio Mendoza and Jess Vega from the University of Pittsburgh punched their ticket to the NCAA Swimming & Diving championship with
Osorio scoring 536.20 for 3rd place and Vega grabbed hers with a 5th place finish registering 492.75.
Remi Edvalson from Harvard punched her ticket as well to the 2025 Swimming and Diving championship with 4th place finish scoring 508.25.

Rutgers: 10
Ivy League: Harvard,(2) Yale,(2) & Princeton (1)
University of Pittsburgh (2), & University of Virginia (2),.
The 2025 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships will be held March 19-22 at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Washington. The championship will be streamed on ESPN+.
