NEW YORK, NY (SMI-FASHION-FEB. 15, 2023)-Distinguished and celebrated international fashion designer " Malan Breton ", exhibited his latest collection 2023-2024 Autumn/Winter entitled " Fantôme " last Saturday's Feb 11, astonishing the sold-out crowd of elite fashionistas, and business industry professionals during New York Fashion Week at Lemán Ballroom, in the Financial District of Manhattan, New York City.
Breton was born in Taiwan, and throughout the years has built a celebrity status for being one of the few multi-skilled creative director in the fashion world. He is known for his work as an actor, film director, fashion designer, musician and model, with all combined has served as inspiration to help him design and build his fashion brand.
Known for his experiential fashion shows and sense of artistry, In 2022, Breton received four honors during Her Majesty the Queen’s 70th Jubilee Celebrations for his work in fashion technology, and philanthropy by the Parliamentary Society of Arts, Fashion, and Sports. He also, enjoys the honor of being one of few international designers invited to present his collections privately to the British Royal Family.
Malan Breton has also showcased his collections at numerous International runway shows like London Fashion Week, Shenzhen Fashion Week, MQVFW, Bahrain international fashion week, and Taiwan.
He has created or designed outfits for Billy Porter, Janelle Monae, Lorde, Priyanka Chopra, Saweetie, Darren Chriss, Little Mix, among others. And also, he has a celebrity following which includes Emma Thompson, Janelle Monae, Saweetie, Priyanka Chopra, Brenda Song, Hanna Waddingham, Kat McNamara, Martha Plimpton, Minnie Driver and George Takei.
“Fantôme.” collection plays off the sensitive themes of conscience, hope, night, day, and human desire.Inspired by Breton’s Parisian nocturnal moments spent with fellow artists in Paris, as well as the 1922 silent films “Nosferatu” and Debussy’s “Clair de Lune,” and also the poem by Paul Verlaine “Fêtes Galantes,”.The newest collection features British sartorial tailoring, and soft ethereal silhouettes created in reclaimed silk chiffon, silk brocade, cashmere, wool, angora, and leather.
