Recent News:Hispanic Legendary Broadcaster Mario Kreutzberger "Don Francisco" Honored in the Big Apple !

NEW YORK (SMI-WIRE,09.08.15) Telemundo, the American Hispanish language broadcast television network that is owned by the NBCUniversal Television Group, honored this evening  Univision's legendary broadcaster, Mario Kreutzberger (known on the show as Don Francisco) for his great contributions of the Hispanic longest-running variety show, “Sábado Gigante” (Giant Saturday), which comes to an end on September 19th after 53 years on-air during a special gathering  @ The Paley Center for Media in NYC.

After five decades of entertaining Latino families around the world, "Sabado Gigante" will air its last show ever on Saturday, September 19th.In addition to the special gathering,  "Don Francisco", whose real name is Mario Kreutzberger, was also  honored by the city of New York with his own street name during the early morning by New York City Councilman Ydanis Rodriguez.The Street is named "Don Francisco Boulevard," which is located in Washington Heights on 168th street and Broadway.
