NEW YORK,NY(SMI-PHILANTHROPY-10.22.19)-The Ackerman Institute for The Family-known for being one of the premier institution for the family therapy and training facility for family therapists in the US, celebrated its 2019 Moving Families Forward Annual Gala this evening( Monday October, 21, 2019), honoring Ashley De La Rosa(Broadway's actress), Kate Snow(NBC Anchor), Maria Hinojosa,Tamsen Fadal & Chrisitna Ackermann at the Intercontinental New York Barclay Hotel in New York City.
Founded in 1960, the Ackerman Institute for the Family is one of the premier institutions for family therapy and one of the best-known and most highly regarded training facilities for family therapists in the United States. The Institute serves families from all walks of life at all stages of family life.

This year's annual gala included a Three-Course Elegant Dinner hosted by Abby Phillip (CNN White House Correspondent) and Tony & Emmy Award-winning Artist LaChanze performed at the gala as part of the entertainment.
The 2019 Honorees Were:
Maria Hinojosa, Founder & President of Futuro Media Group, Anchor and Executive Producer of Latino USA, received The 2019 Ackerman Humanitarian Award.
Ashley De La Rosa, currently starring on Broadway in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
Christina Ackermann, Executive Vice President, General Counsel of Bausch Health.
Kate Snow, anchor of NBC Nightly News Sunday, Emmy-winning Senior National Correspondent for NBC News, contributing reporter for Nightly News with Lester Holt, TODAY, and Dateline NBC.
Tamsel Fadals is a 12-time Emmy award-winning journalist who anchors for the PIX11 News in New York City and host/excutive producer of Broadway Profiles.
